Featured Content in the Catalog
While browsing your organization’s public data assets, many data consumers appreciate guidance on which datasets and visualizations to explore more deeply. To guide these users to your best assets, Administrators and Publishers on your site now have the ability to feature their best content on different slices of the public catalog. Similar to featuring content on Primer, a wide variety of assets can be elevated on your catalog - datasets, visualizations, external assets, and more!
Assets can be featured on different “slices” of your public catalog, i.e. for each Category, View Type, and Custom Metadata facet. We encourage you to feature assets for any slices of your catalog which are linked directly from your home page.
Featured content sections across your catalog’s facets are a great way to highlight frequently-requested datasets, guide users to high-quality visualizations, promote timely data updates, and remind users of key resources they may not be aware of.
Read this Knowledge Base article for guidance on how to feature your best content and details on selecting content.
Small Updates & Bug Fixes
- If your catalog has other sites federated to it, and your default locale is not English, the filter for “This site only” is now properly translated to the language used on the site.
