Announcement: FedRAMP-Authorized (7 June 2017)

Today, we are excited to announce that Socrata, in partnership with Amazon Web Services, is the first cloud-based Government Data Platform to receive an Authority to Operate in the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP℠). FedRAMP is a government-wide program that seeks to provide standards for security, authorization, and monitoring, with participation from departments, agencies, and government groups across the US federal government.

In order to become FedRAMP-authorized, over the last couple of years we have invested heavily in security and privacy programs to meet the strictest availability, confidentiality, and integrity requirements. With a dedicated team of security analysts continually monitoring for vulnerabilities and attacks, all customers, including State and Local governments, benefit from these increased security measures.

This FedRAMP-accredited data platform is part of the new Socrata for Federal Government offering. The platform is designed for data-intensive federal programs to securely collect, manage, analyze and disseminate troves of data, internally and externally, to support the design and delivery of mission-critical programs.

You can learn more about Socrata’s FedRAMP compliance information on the FedRAMP site.
