Customizing Category Cards

As described in the Site Overview of Service Connect, customers can customize the cards on their Category pages to present the information they desire.

  1. From your Service Connect website, click on "Login" at the bottom of the page.
  2. Login with your Service Connect username and password. 
    1. If you cannot find your Service Connect username and password, please submit a ticket.
  3. Navigate to the page that you wish to customize.
  4. From the "Administrator" bar on the left side of the page, click on "Edit Page" to switch the page into an editing mode.
  5. If needed, click on "Add New Card" to create a new card.
    1. Select the appropriate category for your new card, based on your Socrata dataset.
    2. Select the appropriate content type.
    3. Select the appropriate summary statistic: a count of times, average number, or percentage of a whole.
  6. Cards provide four different visualization types, which can be selected with the icons below:
    1.  Bar Chart
    2. Pie Chart
    3. Doughnut Chart
    4. Numeric Value
  7. Clicking on the "Preview" button allows you to see your changes without revealing it to all users. Once you are finished, click on "Publish" to make your changes available to all users.
