While using the new data table, you can update column properties such as alignment and display format.
In order to update a dataset, you will first need to create a working copy of the dataset. If you are working in a derived view, this is not necessary.
Once you are in a working copy, you can click Edit > Edit Columns to launch a modal where you can edit all of your columns. You can use the Previous and Next buttons to scroll through each column on your dataset.
The column formatting options can be found in the second tab of the modal. Each column will at least have the option for Alignment, where you can display the data right, center, or left aligned. Other options will be available based on the datatype of the column.
The above screenshot shows the column formatting for a number datatype. Using the format drop-down will allow you to display your number in standard, currency, percent, scientific, and financial formats. You can also specify decimal precision and overwrite the thousands and decimal separators. There is a handy preview window on the right, so you can see your changes in real time.
