Before reaching out to us about an issue you've run into with the Socrata platform, take a moment to review the Known Issues indicated in the table below. The issue you’d like to report just might be something we’re already aware of and are working hard to resolve!

Known issues are previously reported issues that may result in difficulty using some aspects of the platform. While it is not a comprehensive list, these are issues we suspect might have the potential to be highly impactful. As possible, we’ll indicate a workaround below.

Region map (choropleth) cards on a Data Lens and region maps in the visualization canvas built for a dataset with multiple location columns can show data aggregated to the wrong location column without warning.


Refrain from creating region maps for datasets with multiple location columns. Users can create multiple datasets, each with one location column, in order to create the desired maps.

There is work planned to support multiple location columns and region maps for the future (timeline TBD), but the configuration is currently unsupported.

DataSync failures for "Missing Fields" where georeference columns - ":@computed_region_..." are not mapped.


Please ensure you are using the latest version of DataSync (DataSync releases can be found here.)

Profile links for "Edit Basic Info" and "Manage" lead to a blank page


Access account settings through "Edit Account Settings" and then navigate to the respective pages for Profile and API keys & App Token settings.

Resolved Issues

The link for viewing App Tokens https://{{socrata_domain}}/profile/app_tokens results in 500 error.

 This issue was resolved on June 10, 2019.

Firefox | Embedded visualizations in Perspectives pages may render outside of chart boundaries on smaller browser windows.

 This issue was resolved on June 17, 2019.

OData v4 endpoints are breaking on certain assets. (Example error: "The property 'type' does not exist on type 'socrata.location'")

The issue was resolved on June 17, 2019. 

Two-Factor Authentication Registration: QR Code Not Scannable in Internet Explorer 11
