Known Issues | Last Updated July 8, 2020

Before reaching out to us about an issue you've run into with the Socrata platform, take a moment to review the Known Issues indicated in the table below. The issue you’d like to report just might be something we’re already aware of and are working hard to resolve!

Known issues are previously reported issues that may result in difficulty using some aspects of the platform. While it is not a comprehensive list, these are issues we suspect might have the potential to be highly impactful. As possible, we’ll indicate a workaround below.

Region map (choropleth) cards on a Data Lens and region maps in the visualization canvas built for a dataset with multiple location columns can show data aggregated to the wrong location column without warning.

Identified/Investigating

Refrain from creating region maps for datasets with multiple location columns. Users can create multiple datasets, each with one location column, in order to create the desired maps.

There is work planned to support multiple location columns and region maps for the future (timeline TBD), but the configuration is currently unsupported.

DataSync failures for "Missing Fields" where georeference columns - ":@computed_region_..." are not mapped.

Importing Google Sheets from URL not working and resulting in a 307 error.

Identified/Investigating

Change the import URL to follow this structure:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/{key}/gviz/tq?tqx=out:csv&sheet={sheet_name}
