Known Issues | Last Updated November 22nd, 2021

Before reaching out to us about an issue you've run into with the Socrata platform, take a moment to review the Known Issues indicated in the table below. The issue you’d like to report just might be something we’re already aware of and are working hard to resolve!

Known issues are previously reported issues that may result in difficulty using some aspects of the platform. While it is not a comprehensive list, these are issues we suspect might have the potential to be highly impactful. As possible, we’ll indicate a workaround below.

If you have questions, need help, or if you'd like to be notified when the issue is fully resolved, please reach out to us! Just email us at socrata-support@tylertech.com and we'll get back to you soon!

Workaround

Dataslate Pages

Dataslate pages may be showing different layouts after recent the deprecation of Open Performance assets.

Permanent

Domain admins can edit their dataslate pages, or reach out to Support to have them replaced or deleted.

Spatial Lens

Region map (choropleth) cards on a Data Lens and region maps in the visualization canvas built for a dataset with multiple location columns can show data aggregated to the wrong location column without warning.

Identified/Investigating

Refrain from creating region maps for datasets with multiple location columns. Users can create multiple datasets, each with one location column, in order to create the desired maps.

There is work planned to support multiple location columns and region maps for the future (timeline TBD), but the configuration is currently unsupported.

Datasync

DataSync failures for "Missing Fields" where georeference columns - ":@computed_region_..." are not mapped.

N/A

Please ensure you are using the latest version of DataSync (DataSync releases can be found here.)

Featured Content

Featured content is returning the Data Lens icon for all Charts, Maps, and Calendars. It is expected that each featured content item will return its specific icon.

Identified/Investigating

There is currently no workaround, however, our engineering team is already working on rectifying this.

Text Overlap on Measures

In the About This Measure box on Measures, if the "Measure Ended"/"Measure to end on" date is too long, the date text overlaps the Reporting Period text.

Identified/Investigating

There is currently no workaround, however, our engineering team is investigating the matter.

Visualization Filters

When filtering

on a numerical column for a decimal value without a leading zero(eg .8) an error is thrown

Identified/Investigating

To filter by a decimal number, add a leading zero i.e enter 0.8 and not .8
