Where do I find the SODA API Endpoint?

The SODA API Endpoint exists for all published datasets and filtered views. You can point to this reference using an application to consume from and/or publish to the dataset.

For all information on the different versions of API Endpoints offered, follow this link.

There are three ways you can access the API Endpoint:

1. Through the dataset URL: You can get the API endpoint by simply taking the dataset's UID and replacing it in this string:

https://<domain>/resource/<UID>.<extension> *where the extension is the data format you'd like to pull the data as. For a full list of extension formats please go here.

2. Through the API button on the dataset's Primer page.

3. Through the Export panel when viewing the data: Click on Query Data from the datasets primer page> Click on Export then API Endpoint to get to the API

Note: The API URL in the export section of the dataset will typically use the SODA 2.1 endpoint. This is best used for consuming the data as it supports additional data types and functions.

Again, you may read more about the endpoints versions by following this link on the Data & Insights Developer site.
