How and when to use Streets basemap

Question

A basemap is the foundational background layer of a map that provides geographic context and visual reference. For logistics, routing, emphasizing notable places, or general reference, "Streets" is the best basemap option, as it contains the most up-to-date street mapping information. The default map type is "Basic".  How do you change from Basic to Streets basemaps? 

Answer 

The basemap is controlled individually per map. To update the basemap type, open a map's "Settings" icon, select the Type dropdown, and change the setting from Basic to Streets. See image below.
