Setting up a Catalog Federation
To set up an outgoing Catalog Federation from your Enterprise Data domain:

From the Administration Panel select Federations

Click the ‘Add Federation’ button

Select Catalog Federation

Enter the URL of the domain you would like to federate to and click ‘Validate’. Entering a valid domain will allow you to click the ‘Next’ button. A valid domain consists of an existing Data & Insights domain that does not currently have an incoming federation from your current domain.

Select the desired Search boost for the requested federation

Click ‘Request Federation’ to send the federation request to the target domain. The request will now appear in the Federation Table in a ‘Pending’ status.

Once the target domain has accepted your catalog federation request, the status of the federation will display as ‘Accepted’ and all the public assets on your domain will be catalog federated to the target domain.
Setting up a Data Federation
To set up an outgoing Data Federation from your Enterprise Data domain:

From the Administration Panel select Federations

Click the ‘Add Federation’ button

Select Data Federation

Enter the URL of the domain you would like to federate to and click ‘Validate’. Entering a valid domain will allow you to click the ‘Next’ button. A valid domain consists of an existing Data & Insights open data domain that does not currently have an incoming federation from your current domain.

Review the details of the federation before clicking Request Federation to send the request to the target domain.

The request will now appear in the Federation Table in a ‘Pending’ status.

Once the target domain has accepted your data federation request, the status of the federation will display as ‘Accepted’ and all the supported public assets on your domain will be data federated to the target domain. To learn more about unsupported assets please visit this support article.
