Our Open Data Portal is used by some of our customers to display election results for ease of public access and viewing of the information.
We do not provide election software, operate voting machines, or voting tabulators. Government agencies that use our open data solution may use the portal to post election results, to promote transparency around campaign finance, or to post information on polling dates and locations.
We anticipate high volume usage of some of these portals on Nov. 5 and the days immediately following the general election. While we have taken steps to prevent slowdowns and outages, extraordinarily high usage may cause intermittent, brief delays leading to temporary inaccessibility of the portal. These delays do not affect collection, tabulation, or integrity of the data, which is managed by local and state election offices.
In the event that a single customer portal is negatively impacting the operation of the overall platform, we may take that portal temporality offline to protect the use of the platform by other customers. Should this happen, we will work with our support and technical teams to restore service as quickly as possible.
