Platform Enhancements

• Parameter fields in the Global Filter Bar are now marked with an asterisk, making it clearer to users that they are required. For more information on Parameters, see Parameters in Exploration Canvas.
• Made the following change to align with the Tyler design system: Updated the filters in the Global Filter Bar and the Quick Filter Bar on visualizations. Functionality is unchanged — you'll just notice a slightly refreshed look.

Accessibility Enhancements

Made several accessibility improvements across the platform:

• Chart and summary table content is no longer exposed to assistive technology when a visualization has no data to display. Previously, screen reader users could encounter leftover chart or table content (e.g., axis values, a blank table) before reaching the "no data" message.
• Visualization filters that are overridden by the Global Filter Bar are now properly announced to screen readers as read-only. Previously, these controls appeared interactive to assistive technology even though they could not be changed.
• Fixed keyboard focus landing on elements hidden behind an open filter panel. Previously, tabbing through the filter drawer could move focus to a "More Actions" button that was still visually covered by the panel.
• Fixed the Map Location Search feature and other interactive map elements (like zoom controls) being unreachable by keyboard. These were incorrectly marked as hidden from assistive technology.

Deprecations & Removals

SODA1 API

A reminder that the SODA1 API is officially deprecated as of October 7, 2026 (pushed back one week from 10/1). Starting then, we'll periodically shut off SODA1 access for short windows to help surface any lingering integrations, returning a link to the SODA3 guide as part of the response, ahead of full removal on December 16, 2026.
