Enhanced Date Grouping in the Exploration Canvas

Date grouping is now even more flexible in the Exploration Canvas. When grouping on a datetime column, users will now have the option to group by specific parts of the datetime such as day or month. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and functionality, enabling more detailed and insightful analysis of your datetime data.

Computed Region Columns as System Columns

Region mapping is being streamlined. Computed Region Columns needed for region mapping will now be treated as system columns and effectively hidden from default views, including when shaping data in the Exploration Canvas. This change allows for cleaner data presentation while still enabling the powerful region mapping capabilities that Computed Region columns offer.

Apply multiple rules through conditional formatting for columns in Tables

The new, multiple conditional formatting rules in tables allow users to apply multiple conditions to a single column. This ensures that the most critical data stands out immediately, significantly enhancing the clarity and efficiency of data analysis. With this feature, users can quickly identify key trends and changes in their reports without manually sifting through extensive data.

Rearrange filters and parameters in the global filter bar in Stories

Deprecations and Removals

Dataset Nominations Removal

Effective August 28th, 2024, the Dataset Nominations Feature will be removed from the platform. We encourage users who want to maintain this functionality to embed a form on their domain so that the public can continue to make requests for datasets to be included on their government's Open Data Platforms. For access to historical data, customers can reach out to their CSM or Support and the Data & Insights team will provide a CSV with all datasets previously requested on their government's site before 1/1/2024. We have chosen to omit any requests from after the date due to a high prevalence of spam which distorts results. If you have any questions, please reach out!
