Add users to Teams during invite step

Now you can add new users to Teams during the invite step - no need to wait until they’ve created an account. When they first log in, they’ll already have access to everything shared with their Teams.

Soda3 API Rollout

The new version of our query API, Soda3, has been released and is available to everyone. Soda3 brings significant improvements in query performance, reliability, error handling, and introduces a cleaner and more straightforward API semantics that matches the query that you are making.

One of the key differences between Soda2 and Soda3 is the requirement for providing either an app token or authenticating using either basic auth or app token API key. As the internet has evolved, so have the challenges of maintaining reliable and secure data access. Anonymous requests, while convenient, no longer provide the accountability and control needed in today’s environment. The rise of automated data scraping, particularly by AI systems, has dramatically increased background traffic and system load. At the same time, malicious and exploitative requests now represent nearly 10% of all internet activity.

By requiring identification, we can protect service reliability for legitimate users, detect and mitigate misuse, and ensure fair access for everyone. It also enables us to communicate proactively with integrators when changes may affect their systems, which reduces downtime and improves collaboration.

Our platform now defaults to Soda3. To ease the transition we are adding the ability to generate both Soda3 and Soda2 API endpoints for any dataset in the API tab of the export modal. This allows users who are familiar with Soda2 to continue to use that version until they are ready to transition to Soda3 and take advantage of all the new capabilities it offers.
